HTML5 – NEW TREND IN PROGRAMMING
Before the W3C worldwide consortium began developing the HTML5 language, the range of options for building the site structure was rather scarce and limited. For example, if you had to add video, you had to use proprietary components (Flash, etc.).
The set of tags available for marking was small. The structure turned out unreadable, difficult. Resource support and development tasks have become extremely difficult. Solving these problems and extending the functionality of web pages is the main task of the new HTML5 technology, which is already supported by all modern browsers.
What is HTML5?
HTML5 Hypertext Language is a new specification for markup of modern web documents, which became officially available to all developers only in 2014. Over time, most modern sites began to use it. There are several reasons for this.
With the advent of HTML5 Hypertext, the situation in the world of web development has changed dramatically: all the shortcomings of the previous version of the specification have been eliminated. There is a large number of new tags that help more accurately describe the elements of the page.
Also in HTML5 were built into the possibility of embedding multimedia objects, which made it possible to completely abandon Flash and other similar technologies. At the same time, the related problems went away: low speed, code vulnerability, etc.
Using only HTML5, today you can create very complex sites with multimedia and interactive elements, without using third-party solutions. Components are built into the language for playing video, drawing graphics, form validation, and more. In fact, it combines some elements of CSS, XHTML, DHTML and Ajax.
At the same time, so that the extension of the functionality does not complicate HTML5 too much, many old tags are no longer supported, since the need for them has disappeared. In this study, the basics of technology has become even more simple. New tags got readable and understandable names.
This is all true for complex sites. In this regard, the question may arise: will the new HTML5 standard be more effective for a small project with static text-graphic content? Are there any advantages over the previous version of the language?
The answer is yes. The new standard allows:
website development and maintenance is much more accessible;
Search engine promotion becomes easier;
embed multimedia components in static pages;
increase the safety of the use of the site by visitors.
The mere fact of using the HTML5 standard does not make the site inaccessible to visitors using older versions of browsers that do not support the technology. Some components will simply not be available to them, although this can be circumvented by ordering the development from professionals.
